Think Remington either is or will soon be bringing in some of the Russian/Ukranian combo's, in useful chambering, probably under their Spartan label.
I've owned 3 or 4 of the Savages combo's, pretty heavy and currently very pricey for what you get. Plus you can buy an NEF or Rossi single shot, rifle or shotgun, and get both for the current price of the Com or get the packaged outfit with I frame/stock and 2 barrels. Last savage I had was close to useful .22 mag over 20 gauge "Camper" (neat idea for motorycle camping), but the gun was a POS, assembled by blind Orangutans who'd been drinking 40 ouncers at breakfast that day, too much plastic, which promptly broke in cold weather. Rear sight fell off and plastic "break open lever/button " both broke or fell off in lt 200 rounds. Never used an M-6 except the original G.I version, okay, but a number of people with them like them a lot! I'm keeping an eye out for the russians from Remington, but I want to see them realistically priced, reasonable weight, and rational chambering (7x57/20 gauge MINIMUM, and 308/30-06 over 12 preferably). Then I'll probably try one out! Even knowing that for shotgun use they all seem to swing like a poorly balanced fence post. Oh well, JMHO, FWIW, YMMV and that's fine too! Regards, |

I've had several "Broncos" in the past.
.22 LR over .410, .22 Mag over .410, .30-30 over 12 ga. Now I just like the Handi Rifles. Have one with a 18+" 12 ga and another barrel in .22 Rem. Jet. Other interchangable barrel models are my TC Pistols, with several barrels. |

no particular dislike for combo's just never saw a use for one. i suppose if i owned a vacation cabin somewhere and needed a one gun solution a combo would be nice.

ive always wanted 1 of those springfield scouts, but they seem to be kinda rare around here, and the gunshow merchants hold out for all the money.
