Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Naked slide

I finally took possession of my latest acquisition today.

It is a 1979 mfr. Colt Mark IV, Series 70 as attested to by the barrel marking,
the collet style barrel bushing, and the short s.s. trigger, etc.. The thing
is...and this makes it quirky enough for me to want it...the slide is entirely
devoid of any marking at all...it be naked. But what a beauty she is in spite
...or perhaps because of...that.

For what it is, the price was more than right, and the wait was worth it.

That's pretty sweet! I had a series 70, let a guy from work borrow it when he lost his job. Last I hear he shot himself.

I have an original Series 70 with the pony on the slide that saved my life a couple times. She still sleeps with me. Best piece ever made.

I had a series 70 I bought nib back in the early 80's. It did however have the rampant Colt on the slide along with lettering. Exact same box as yours...still not sure why I sold it.

It'll be a safe queen, flashy.

Mrs. R-a-R is going to need some salable stuff when I
become spare parts on the Baylor College of Medicine's
marble slab in a few years time.

Don't say dat Rick. Damn.

That is bootafull.
Curse Komifornia for getting us the series 80s. The 1911s have enough damn safeties on them and they demanded more. WTF over.

I just read an article that the 1911 is obsolete, too expensive, too heavy, too big, doesn't work with every bullet out there, etc., etc. When the plastic guns hit 108 years old and still work (like 1914 made 1911) then I will listen to that crap. I mean look at the 40 year old Glocks that are having the frames falling apart because they are plastic and plastic breaks down!
