A California police officer reportedly from the same department as the cop who fatally shot a man’s dog this week, defended the officer’s actions by blaming the dog’s death on its owner Wednesday.

Vasquez went on to call for the dog owner’s prosecution, claiming the man, 52-year-old Leon Rosby, should be charged for the death of his own dog.
