Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Yes. I was familiar with the area.

I found out years ago that a six man tent of any kind was actually a two man tent if you really wanted to sleep in it. I live where it's reasonably warm all year and prefer to sleep outside on a cot with bag. Inclement weather I'll put up the tent. A 12'X14' Ozark that I've had for years. Only drawback is it is a bitch to put up while alone.

I had an Ozark tent about that size that I used for many years. Finally the zippers started wearing out and after patching many snags and tears we retired it for a new one.

And you are right about the number of people a tent is advertised to be for.

I like a 6 man tent for myself. My wife and i liked one that was advertised to be for 8 men.

When I hiked the Appalachian Trail I used a two man Eureka with a vestibule. When everything is riding on those two leather Jeeps...at the ends of each ankle...you gotta watch the weight.
