O.K. my Nam bro Wade was here yesterday and the subject of cleaning kits for the AR came up.
He was U.S. Army 9th Inf. Div. down south in the swamps same time I was visiting the distant lands. He and his guys got cleaning kits we did not. Why?
We were their for the time period of 'the gun that does not need to be cleaned.' Research it I am not making a joke. Now I grew up around guns and had enough sense to make to and do rudimentary cleaning.
The AR being the first gun a lot of guys ever touched listened to their stupidity and never cleaned the dang weapon. Did they still function? Well yes incredibly for the most part.
Who were the idiots that said don't clean them not necessary?
