Question
I have been looking all over the net for a SA revolver with 3" barrel and round butt grip with fake ivory grips in .44mag. Would go real well with my Bounty hunter 4.5" in .44mag. But EAA's web site sucks, can't find a dame thing. Anybody have any Idea's. BTW Rugers won't do, never try to fan a Ruger. When fanning you won't hit a damn thing but it is impressive to the ladies at the range.

S&W makes a 629 like that, but that won't serve your purposes.
The closest thing I've seen is a .45 Long Colt in a single action. Haven't seen them in .44 Mag. Maybe there is an old Hawes, made by Sauer & Sohn floating around in .44 Mag? You could pick one of them up fairly cheap, and then have the custom work done on them. Even Ruger's 3" bbl. .44 is a .44 Special, only.

I used to have a pair of Ruger .44 mags.
Had a fanning hammer made for each of them. It was taller than standard, a bit more wide and VERY smooth so as NOT to abrade my palm and fingers. The three round method was thumb, index finger and little finger. Straight fan is with the heel of the hand. Works best if you can tuck your gun hand elbow into your hip, while fanning. Just something to think about. Also teaches you better single action reloading techniques. You can burn up a hell of a lot of ammo with that three round method. I've know guys who could empty a sixgun in two seconds. |

What's the fastest you've ever seen someone reload a single action sixgun?
