Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default .22TCM

http://sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=1378

The familiar look, feel and function of the legendary 1911 pistol designed over 100 years ago are alive in this new offering from Rock Island Armory. For those who are followers or even “fans” of this beloved design, simply holding one brings a smile to their face. For this latest incarnation, the .22TCM by Armscor, everything remains the same – until it is fired for the first time. At that single point of contact between firing pin and primer, the interest of all surrounding shooters is evident. This is not so much about a new 1911 family pistol, as it is a new cartridge with a much higher velocity that draws the attention.

2,200 fps .224 out of a handgun?
Nice, but with a fireball like that there's a lot of powder wasted.
Get the powder right and that would make a more "pleasant to shoot" handgun.

Rings like an ear-ta-splitten-loudenboomer to me.

Bet it would be a fun little rifle round.

I'd love to see a ballistic gel shot, At that speed it may go clear across a skinny person and not really stop it. At 0.39 pounds per second momentum it's not bringing a guy down, it's roughly 1/3 the stopping power of a 230 grain .45.

Tinkering with .22 bullets again.
Somebody allways necking down another basic brass for a 'new' .22!

Interesting.

I bet it would be pretty interesting in a sub-gun platform.

But I would still prefer a .45 for serious social work.

well, this is why I still like the .45...watch this carefully, your .22 on steroids doesn't cut it when it comes to real flesh.

Neat cartridge idea, but the more I think about it, the more I fail to see the utility in it. Definitely not the worst/stupidest gimmick I've ever seen, but there really is nothing that I can think of that this cartridge does that at least a half-dozen don't already do. It reminds me of a slightly narrower, and exponentially more expensive 7.62x25mm.

Unless it can make it thru 3A vests I don't really see any potential gain?

Go figure.

I do enjoy my new 22/45 in .22LR for what it is though. Been killing a lot of coke cans with it lately.

FN already tried the sub-2500 FPS .224 cartridge design. 5.7x28mm. Pathetic performance out of the P90 SMG, absolutely abysmal from a 5" handgun barrel.
