Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

JD you can always use 44 special if it takes the joy out of shooting 44 magnums.

The weight of a Ruger single action should make it manageable, even with a 3.5" barrel. fun fun fun !

Hmmm,

FWIW,

I carried a 3" M-19s or two several years because I had to, 1911's not allowed. 38 Spec or 357 loaded with 38 only.

Not the handicap some might think, the "Chicago Load" (aka FBI load), the +P 158 gr. LHP is adequate, accurate and lends itself to rapid recovery and repeat shots. (stopped the Miami massacre for one example).

Truth is short barreled revolvers do grow on you, and I own 5 or 6 today.

BUT ...

As revolver barrel lengths ( SA or DA, any cartridge) get under 4 inches, the ejector rods get shorter too, and they may not dump the empties completely clear of the cylinder.

So ... Check the ejector rod length on any under 4" bbl revolvers you have, get a handful of un-resized empties, and practice your extraction ejection technique until it's in muscle memory.

Failure to do so can really bite you in the butt at a time you don't need distractions.

Can really screw up attempts at a rapid reload under stress

Regards,
...
