The temperature really dropped in the last couple of days
On Tuesday it got up to 88 degrees and it was pleasant to get outside and go kayaking. Weather is a lot different today. It was 34 this morning and the high today will be 50 degrees with extremely high winds out of the North.
I'm doubting that I will get my concrete driveway installed this year.

It wouldn't be bad here except for the high wind.

Upper 30's last night here too, after a week of humid 70's. Right now it's in the low 50's. I'm ready for Fall.
Just watched the weather tv news and realized I misspoke. It was in the mid-80's here on Monday & Tuesday and humid as heck. I'm outside grilling some steaks on the Weber and this cool temp, along with the charcoal smell, suits me just fine. Last edited by MrKalashnikov; 10-11-2018 at 07:08 PM. Reason: update |

Cooling off here too. Down into the mid 80's. Summer has broken.

First frost at my house was October 10th.
Snow is forecast for Sunday evening - October 14th.

It transitioned from 110 degrees here to the mid 70's........very quickly....like in 4 days.
Your body doesn't have time to adjust to this extreme temperature change and i have been working outside all summer.......it seems to have the effect on the body of craving carbohydrates and extreme hunger.

It was 39 degrees when I rolled out of a warm rack this morning. It was 51 degrees in my house. Fired the heat pump up for the first time since early spring. Bringing firewood in and stacking it in the rack beside the fireplace. Must be that time of year...again.

I need to open the other gas well. Pressure gage reads 295 psi. Not bad for a well drilled in 1947.
