Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default I went shooting today

It's been raining and the Izaak Walton range is muddy. So I went to the local inside range. I have an annual pass.
I was shooting my S&W M&P Pro C.O.R.E. 9MM with a Trijicon red dot. It is a sweet shooter. I replaced the original barrel with an APEX target barrel and changed the original trigger with an APEX trigger plus a change of all of the original springs.

I really smoked the targets today. Some days you're hot, and some days you're not. But I was hitting the center of the bull almost every shot.
A couple of guys in the booth next to me wondered what I was shooting. I let them take a couple of shots and they said wow. They said my trigger was amazing.

Looks like a sweet setup. I'm trying to find the time to get some 1911 range time.

A target doesn't prove a lot.

While sitting in front of my computer I could take a target and punch a bunch of holes with a phillips screwdriver. Or I could shoot at a target from 5' away.

Powder burns on the target are always a dead giveaway.

That's what mine is - about 1.5 lb.

Quite an interesting setup. Did it take a bit to get used to the trigger?

No, it feels quite natural. The trigger is much better than most other firearms that have that safety trigger. It has a light and smooth pull. You don't even notice that it's a safety trigger.

Because of my large hands I have the largest palmswell grip on it.

Neighbor across the street has a nice little 100' range built for himself nice berms of dirt on some really flat ground. I am envious. I have to go South to use my range. I met my neighbor across the road a couple days ago when his BIG Kabota diesel, zero radius got stuck in the ditch in front of his Mom's house. He said he only mows about 12 of the acres they have...the rest is in money crop. I tugged him out with my Ford 4x4 and we got to talking. I told him I heard some run fast toys and had no place to pop-a-cap here at this new place. He invited me over to check out his bang spot. Nice.

I am hoping that with some elbow rubbing and small talk I might have a nearby place to burn some powder. There is always some shooting going on around here. I call it the sound of freedom.
