Great thing about Summer
There is a farmer's market in town on Saturdays during the summer where local farmers bring in their produce. And a local owned meat market has a display set up.
There is also some typical flea market tables selling cheap chinese junk. I don't bother with that crap. I picked up some tomatoes. fresh home grown corn, some green peppers and a couple of zucchini. I bought some bacon and a couple pounds of ground beef.

I also picked up a quart of cherries. They were brought down from Michigan.
Michigan grows some nice cherries up around Traverse Bay. |
