Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Firefox Update Will Kill This Sneaky Tracking Techniqu

There are all kinds of ways that advertisers try to track you online. You already know about cookies, but did you know you can be identified by the fonts that are on your computer?

It's a form of what's known as browser fingerprinting. By probing your browser for various bits of information -- like your screen resolution, time zone, interface language, what plug-ins you have installed -- you can actually be identified with a high level of precision.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/leemathe.../#723ba0f439d6

I need to spend more time keeping up with computer technology.

Quote:
How well are you protected against non-consensual Web tracking? After analyzing your browser and add-ons, the answer is ...

Yes! You have strong protection against Web tracking, though your software isn’t checking for Do Not Track policies.

Help us defend the Web against tracking:
Test Result
Is your browser blocking tracking ads? ✓ yes
Is your browser blocking invisible trackers? ✓ yes
Does your browser unblock 3rd parties that promise to honor Do Not Track? ✗ no
Does your browser protect from fingerprinting? ✗
your browser has a unique fingerprint

Note: because tracking techniques are complex, subtle, and constantly evolving, Panopticlick does not measure all forms of tracking and protection.

Can't get past the ad block warning on forbs.com. Piss on them, then.

Maybe it's because I am using Adblock Latitude and Ublock Origin.

I used to have Adblock Plus and Forbes would always tell me to turn off the blocker. Now I'm using uBlock origin and don't have a problem with that site.

You just told me a lot and it justifies my using more than one ad blocker. Whatever one doesn't get, the other probably will.

I use a Mozilla add-on called self destructing cookies. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...cting-cookies/

You can whitelist any website that you don't want their cookies destructed (such as this forum) by choosing "never", or you can have them automatically deleted after leaving the website by choosing "after you close the tab".

Usually a website loads a lot more cookies on your computer other than their own cookie.

I use this so that I can read the Washington Post as many times I want per month. Just deleting their "Washington Post" cookie won't clean all of the cookies they load on your computer. They also load on trackers. This Self Destructing Cookie add-on will wipe out everything their website puts on your computer every time you leave.

I've looked into and tried several cookie handlers, but I'd still rather not let them on my systems to begin with. Most work instantaneously and they do their reporting/damage right away.

I have had just about zero adware/malware/other virus problems since instituting that policy.
