Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Take a Tour of the ‘Zombie Survivalist Fortification Cabin

"Developed by the U.K.-based company, Tiger Log Cabins, the anti-zombie fortress is guaranteed to keep the walking dead away for at least 10 years. It’s surrounded by barbed wire and reinforced by windows, walls and doors. The cabin even has a 360-degree upper deck, an escape hatch and plenty of extra storage so you can fit all your weapons."

To much money I think? Someone could probably build something better for a lot cheaper.

Get a couple of steel cargo containers. Weld together, fortify with brick and concrete. And don't forget the all important underground evasion tunnel leading well away from the main site.

Claymores and concertina wire optional, but well worth the investment.

The one in the link shows a garden area - I wonder what would grow there with the limited light that the plants would get. Also looking at the bunk room - without electricity it sure would be dark and in the summer hot. Also without electricity the whole place would be dark. I'm sure something could be designed a lot better that would give more light and cross ventilation.

With any bunker it's all about location. One simply needs to go back in history and look how lords survived. They built those fortified towers and moats for a reason. Now that may seem far fetched in this day and age, but look at the real world reality.

A collapse of the economy or EMP hit is far more likely than a full scale WWII style war on this continent. You won't be defending your home from infantry, tanks, mortars, and bombers, but hungry people wanting your food. Those lords from centuries past survived months of siege by having a well fortified "bunker" well stocked with food and a clean water source available.

Like I said, it's all about location. A defensible location and a well stocked pantry.

Agreed. Just like ammo - buy it cheap and stack it deep. (Just make sure whatever food you store is something you will actually eat).

That "facility" doesn't interest me at all.
Catering to paranoia has become quite lucrative, for some folks.

I have my own ideas, keeping them to myself.

Hell, if I dig too far down here, I hit water.......got several months of food and precious metals(lead copper, brass). And heirloom seeds to rebuild somewhere.
