I read TEOTWAWKI (the pre published web released pdf that evolved into patriots)
It was a good read at the time. If you can find a copy of " breakdown" by that fellow that wrote the "out of the ashes" series it also is a good read. Since then I have a few things I disagree with but it is still a good read. DD bought me a copy of patriots for a present a while back. (She knows my passion for having a hard copy.) I still enjoy Unintended Consequences as one of my favorite books, I have a pdf verson but the hard copy sits on my book shelf of excellent reference books. For anyone wanting insight into the "gun culture" it is a great starting point. Esp the first 2/3 as it the first 2/3 of patriots. The final fiction parts are good, just not as informative.

"Patriots" was good. But don't waste money on the sequel "Founders".
It read like the author was just trying to crank it out to try to get some more money before the coming collapse.

I've read Patriots at least ten times. It is one of my all time favorites.
