Six months of rain in twenty four hours
In Kay county OK, we’ve gotten 12” of rain in twenty hours. Kaw reservoir on the Arkansas river is 29.95 feet above normal despite eight Tainter gates ano sluice gate being opened at four foot each releasing 55,140 cubic feet of water per second.
Kaw Lake is holding 1,091,656 acre-feet of water. Flood control pool storage empty is 162,230 acre-feet. Keystone Reservoir is releasing 160,000 cubic feet per second. Next control dam downriver from Kaw. The more you know.

Kaw is now at 30.19 inches above normal and eight Tainter gates are open at five feet apiece. Adding another 1,700 cubic feet per second.

Wonder what it is doing over on our old farm...the whole area sits on the New Madrid Fault and about 1812 a big quake hit and dropped the land a good 4' and messed up all the ground water;
looks like all the water is above ground now.

Okay Tim here goes . . . Once upon a time in a land far away it rained for six months straight and everything and everyone stayed wet and muddy for the duration.
