Saturday's gathering of friends and family.........
July 6th, is when we're gonna have a get together of family and a few close friends.
I pulled a full brisket out of the freezer this morning in hopes that it'll be thawed in time to prep it Friday morning and, then slip it into the smoker around 10 pm Friday evening. I'm also making a big crock pot (oval crock pot), of 'Cowboy Beans'. It's gonna feel strange not smoking baked beans. A friend brought over a large disposable aluminum pan full of 'Buffalo Turds' that were smoked a few weeks ago (and the leftovers frozen). I'll slip them into the oven for an hour or so Saturday morning. Others are bringing side dishes to share. And of course, as always, BYOB. In the morning, my new U.S. and Gadsden Flags will go up, to replace the two worn flags on my flagpole. I wish you all a safe and Happy Independence Day weekend! |
