Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Red face Got my dumbass card

Dropped the clip for an AR dust cover pin. Got my magnet on a stick looking for it. The little bastard is made of spring steel isn't it? If it's plastic, I'm boned.

Small springs, detents and c-clips prove there is a third dimension. Good luck finding it. I've shot numerous detents into no mans land.

I was putting together a receiver a few months ago and had a takedown pin spring shoot out and disappear into the ether. Luckily, I had a spare.

Losing pieces doesn't really count for dumbassery.

Dumbassery usually involves a Dremel tool and/or a torch.

I use a large white towel on my work table whenever I take something apart, makes things easier to spot and small parts don't jump off.

I dread looking under the reloading benches. The room I have all my gunretaled stuff in get cleaned once or twice a year. Generally I find all kinds of lost things then.

This one or their are dozens of other sites with back up replacement kits for the AR parts that fly through the air.

PSA AR15 Field Armorer's Kit - 7220

http://palmettostatearmory.com/field-armorer-s-kit.html

I don't even bother looking when the small parts fly just wait till someone barefooted steps on the part and when they scream reach down and grab it.

Found an ejection port cover kit, pin, spring and C-clip for $4.95 from a company I was going to order chamber brushes and ammo from soon anyway.

Going to put an old sheet on the floor and try to do the installation inside a clear plastic bag.

Cool

Spotted the damned thing, got it on and discovered the ejection port door spring is actually a bigger pain in the ass.

I usually use a towel, but not necessarily a white one.

Here is when I was installing free spin pawls and reduced power springs in my two Vaqueros.

I think just about any light solid colored towel works. I use a yellow micro-fiber towel when working on the pistols and small car parts.
