Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Looking at .44 S&W magnum pistols

I have been thinking about picking up on one for awhile.. Looking at blued 6" & 8 3/8," model 29's. Also the 6.5" bbl, 629 Deluxe. Anyone shoot these? I am still trying to decide which one...

Fun guns to shoot if you stick with 44 Special ammo and hand load yourself. The mag loads are just brutal an why you can find many that have hardly been fired. Also it's a heavy pistol to hump the bush with unless you could run into a bear. Then it gold.

I shot a S&W .460 magnum with approximately a 10" compensated barrel and Leupold scope. Recoil wasn't bad at all with that setup, but it was heavy enough that fast target acquisition and trigger squeeze was a necessity.

I have a 629 Mountain Gun. Nice big bore handgun. I also have a Roger Blackhawk in 44 mag.

i have a model 29 6 1/2" barrel....recessed cylinder......its a incredibly accurate handgun.

the only issues i have had with it was ejecting spent casings from the cylinder after the gun heats up after firing full factory loads in it...over and over.

it came with the wood box, cleaning rod, screwdriver and brush.

i bought it local off backpage from a woman

I have the model 28 .357 recessed cylinder and pinned barrel in the wood presentation box. They are a beautiful gun.

Piss on shooting those 240gr full house loads...they hurt my...everything. There is a lighter load a 185 gr...I believe that also does a fine job and doesn't beat me to death.

im very glad i bought this pistol.....like Pogo said it is a beautiful example of craftsmanship and metallurgy.

I have popped gallon sized glass jugs at 100 yards at a desert garbage dump last time i shot it.....very accurate.

I have only fired 240 gr. semi jacketed factory loads (hot) through it and some .44 specials...i have the gloncalo alves wood grips on it and i would put pacmyer grips on it if i was going to shoot this more than occasionally.

it is not a fun gun to fire more than 50 rounds at a time with using the full magnum loads.

Some time back I had the 8 3/8," model 29 with a scope on it. Damn you could take the eye out of a fly at a 100 yds with that weapon. Needed money sold it. Oh well.

I still have an unopened case of 185 gr. .44 mags.
I bought two cases, mostly for the brass.
Never shot out of the second case because I didn't need the brass.

Yes, that lighter bullet makes a lot of difference.
The 240 gr. ones can be a real 'hand hurter' if you're not careful.

I think that's one of the reasons I had to have the carpel tunnel operations.

I reload my own and download the cartridges for practice. If you don't reload you could always practice with .44 Special.
