And he’s not apologizing for the rifle’s humble origins in a Colorado Springs garage.
“All the best stuff comes out of somebody’s garage,” he said. https://americanmilitarynews.com/201...prings-garage/ That is a great story good for him. I saw a picture of John Browning's shop and it looked like the city dump crap everywhere piled high. For those vehicle and mechanically inclined good article about the U.S. SOGs buying off road vehicles for front line action. $$

How much does each charge block weigh? Even if each block weighed 1/4 pound, who is carrying all that weight?

Nothing new here. Go look at history and every one of those things has been put in guns before. The "block"? Lots of percussion cap rifles used them. Electronic trigger? Remington tried this with their electric fired Model 700 and others and it died in the market place is Mayfly years. Multiple barrels? Fired one at a time or all at once? Too many to list. Neat idea? Sure. New? No.

Read an article the other day of a prototype weapon the Army is real serious about. It will to be determined between a 6.5 and 6.9 cal. their not sure which just yet? Think I will send them a pict. of my 1760s French musket and see what they say. US Army has reportedly selected the six companies it wants to submit prototypes for its 'Sub Compact Weapon' program. Angstadt Arms B&T USA Global Ordnance Shield Arms Sig Sauer 4thID Vet LLC. |
