Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

That's serious talent Buz! I'm coming over obnoxious & drunk with the wife and several out of control friends to hang out in your back yard roasting marsh mellows. Think of it as a test of your patience to see how long it takes to kick us out.

Thank you AWT and 44044

I installed the BBQ grill and installed some doors in the outside kitchen.....its about done except for a small refrigerator i am waiting for to be delivered.
Home depot delivered the wood beams for my pergola.....the 2 main beams are douglas fur rough sawn 10x10"x 18' long...the smaller top member wood beams are 4x8"x 18' long....i rented a corbel saw yesterday and cut the profile shapes in these ......the big beams are extremely heavy...i estimate at least 400+ pounds each....they are wet too.........extremely dangerous handling these myself so i built 5 ea saw horses out of 2x4's to support all that weight as i had to rotate the beams to cut them........if those would have fallen on me as i worked on them it would have ripped my leg right off......so now its on to stain and install.

Awesome work Buzz.

Somehow I think you are absolutely compulsive.

You need that activity to keep you going.

You're a lot like I used to be.

Thank you gentlemen for the kind comments... I stained these yesterday... the weather here has been bad... rain.. and I had to keep these covered with plastic to prevent these from warping until I could stain them with an oil stain.

The staining was not fun......very messy and toxic smelling...I rolled it on to prevent it from going airborn and staining the concrete wall with a brown film....this shit doesn't dry fast at all either....these 14 wood beams soaked up 5 gallons of stain...my clothing got soaked with it because i had to stain the 12 smaller beams and then lift them off the saw horses and set them down to dry.....Im going to rent a material lift monday to set these as well as hire 2 guys for the day to help me.

Im almost there.

I finished this about a week ago.....I rented a heavy material lift to raise the beams and im very grateful no one got injured or worse lifting these up....My next-door neighbor and 2 other strong guys helped me carry the 2 main support beams to the material lift and then it was simply a matter of cranking the handle to lift them up and then wheel them in position and lower them into their metal beam holders.

We then lifted the smaller cross member wood beams up 3 at a time and spaced them out on the top so i could slide them into their final positions and screw them down with brackets by myself without much risk of injury or death.....This was definitely the most dangerous part of the entire backyard project.

Once those big heavy beams were lifted in the air and placed on their final resting place they looked kind of small. lol!
