1911 help
Has anyone ever replaced the extractor with an Ed Brown extractor?
New one does not sit all the way in by just a hair . any experience on that?

If it fits and functions, the extra length is for final fit be it a smooth or checkered slide rear

The round part on the back before the slot seems to be about half a milliliter longer than the original...damn.

Compare length from the slot to the extractor hook.

identical, however by the rear round part being a hair longer towards the front I can't make it fit. When I put it in it catches on the rim of the case perfectly and holds the round up there. I just got it from Midway, back it goes, I'll order an original Colt. Oh well.
Thanks Gunny. |
