Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Anybody out there encountered this stuff? It was installed on my PC several months ago and is annoying the hell out of me. What it does is start multiple little pop-ups in the lower right of my screen when I first start to use my browser. Sometimes there'll be 15 or 16 in a row...there's a Close tab at the bottom of each pop-up but as fast as I close one the next one comes up, all ads for crap I don't want or need.

I googled the thing but the fix they suggest doesn't work. I've tried going into Programs to find & delete it but it doesn't appear there. I run McAfee on my PC and I think this is the first bug which has gotten by it in the last 5 years or so.

Really stuck on this one...

Using a different browser might help. Which one are you using? and no I have no experience with it, but I ran a search and it seems to affect Chrome

Question

I also use Microsoft Edge and yes, it seems to just be on Chrome. Any suggestions for an alternative? I've seen chatter here about Duck Duck Go.

I use Google on Firefox all the time and have it so it deletes history and cookies on exit, they keep Firefox pretty well updated, now my antivirus (Microsoft) does a scan every night and once a week I use CCleaner, so far I've stayed out of trouble for years. Don't visit free movie websites and porno stuff. I once got a real bad virus trying to download a Disney movie when my daughter was younger. And whenever you download an application, make sure to read everything well, sometimes they sneak unwanted stuff along with it, make sure you uncheck them before downloading.

I rarely download stuff with the exception of pictures. Don't know how this bug got on my PC but my son is going to be here tomorrow for his birthday. He was a computer science major in college so I hope he'll help pappy out.

Check to see if there is any extension added to your Chrome browser that is causing the problem. Do you know how to do that?

No, I don't.

My son was here last week taking a look at the registry & found a suspicious .exe program which he deleted. It seemed to work for a day or two but then the pop ups started again.

Click on those three dots on the upper right side of the browser.

Then click on "more tools".

Then click on "Extensions".

After the extension page appears see if there is some strange extension there that you didn't add.
