Boar hunting with a spear.
Any one ever hunted boar with a spear? I have taken boar with a rifle, not much sport in it when dogs are used. So I kind of thought hunting with a spear might be interesting. There is a place in Crossville TN that has some good dogs. You can hunt year round and I am kind of getting a hankering to try it out.

Wild boars can be really nasty when hurt or afraid. I'll let the most adventurous go spear hunting while I sit in the cabin with a beer in my hand.

A big boar will f**ck you up if you're not careful.

One of my oddball things on my "to do" list is to hunt wild pigs in Hawaii with just a Bowie knife.

Here is a formal invitation to do it here in TN. That place in crossville will let you hunt pigs however you like gun, knife, bare hands they really don't care. Bring your big knife I will bring my spear.

I will be honored to make the video.
Hopefully it will be of the Bunker member winning! Either way, though, it goes on YouTube! |

There's a site out here in the nethers that shows a lot of people with pictures of the whole thing. There is one set with a....
....6 or 8 year old girl getting one with a Bowie... Brian

With a Bowie?
Dang, I think (if I was crazy enough) I would prefer the "Arkansas Toothpick!" But then, I would have to be in desperate circumstances, to go that far. |

You do know what that cross bar on the spear blade is for, right? Bow yes, I've done that, handgun, same. Spear? Knife? No way.

I have a Pakastani Arkansas Toothpick that looks like a Roman shortsword. Perhaps a Bowie in one hand, and that one in the other?
Garandnut, if I get up that direction, we'll go bring home the bacon. |

More like a Roman short sword (AKA Gladieas SP?) in one hand and a 629 in the other.

Oh ya, 629 in the strong and somebody is going have to talk me out of another in the "weak" hand. I like swords and the Roman sword is a favorite, but it don't beat two .44s
