LOL, some of you guys, don't ever go on a regional jet, the entire crew may just be out of High School...
I am an old fart at 27 years of age going to a regional once I build another 200 hours of flight.
As a flight instructor, I am looking out mostly for my tickets so as to not upset the FAA, less about my own life. It is WAY TOO EASY to get an infraction due to an ATC screw up. It takes a lot more effort to get killed in an airplane, or by simply not looking outside the window...
If any of my students had the mind set that they trust no one else in the cockpit including their instructor, AND had an issue with releasing the controls to me when I demand it, well needless to say that would be the last flight they had with me.
