Going bowhunting for the first time on Sunday.

After the license and stamps I've spent over a hundred bucks just to be legal. Going to be hunting from a stand Sunday afternoon/evening with my bow for the first time.

Any tips?

I'm hoping to fill our freezers full of venison this season, and try my hand at smoking some too.

First tip, heart shot first,behind the shoulder 2/3 down the body,or in the neck in FRONT of shoulder, 2/3 down on the neck.
Those are the only two shot I make, with an arrow.

When you get around to smoking it, grind it up REAL fine, dry it in the sun, and roll it in rice paper. Don't use a blow torch to ignite that smoke either, it will burn your lip!
