Does anyone make a good repop of a pistol in .44 Russian?
I am looking for a good repop of a pistol in both .44 Russian, and .45 Schofield.
Anyone know of a good candidate for the repop of the originals?

Found the .44 Russian pistol on the Uberti site, but couldn't find the Schofield.

Uberti is owned by Beretta. Beretta also makes one with the Beretta name on it.
The Beretta Schofield has the transfer bar, same as they did for the Beretta Stampede series, and as Ruger put on their Vaquero. That allows you to safely carry cartridges in all six holes of the cylinder. That is a very nice safety feature that you can't even see when looking at the pistol. (yes, I call them a pistol because that is what they were called before the semi-auto handgun was even invented) I'm not fond of the Beretta logo on the grip of their Schofield though. Also, I don't care for the nickel plating as is on the one in this picture. |

Well, I checked the Beretta website, and they don't have the Laramie in the calibers you want - only .38spl and .45 LC. That blued one is a pretty firearm though.
I guess you will have to go with the Uberti unless you can find one of those S&W model 2000 Schofields that that they made 8 years ago. But I am guessing they might be rather pricey. And I don't know what caliber they made them in. |
