I'll tell you , people are driving like crazy out there, lines of cars trying to get to stores, I went to Publix, they are out of bottled water...WTF?, it's not even going to hit here...but then again that's what they said about Katrina and it went right over my house, I stepped out for a smoke during the eye. My brother in Palm Beach also called me an hour ago, all hysterical..."it's coming this way, it's gonna hit".

The helll with it, I've got 50,000 gallons of water in my pool, just boil it and get the chlorine out.

I just got orders from the highest entity here to top off the gas cans for the generator, exchange the extra propane tank and fill the Ram's gas tank in the morning, pronto.

She watched the local weather report about how we are all going to die toward the end of the week.

And my generator did not start, it has always done all right, except today, just bought a can of carb cleaner and i'll start dissecting it tomorrow

Mine wouldn't start when I was prepping for Hermine, it always started right up since it was new. I found a clogged fuel line was the problem.

Hope that your gen's problem is that easy.

Hope that your gen's problem is that easy.

Mine has a Honda 13 HP engine, fuel line is good to the carb and I always shut the fuel line right off the tank and let it run dry, but it's been a couple years since I last ran it I think, maybe less, I drained the carb and the fuel came out dark yellow at first, then it cleared up. I'll take another look at it today, maybe it'll clear up by having new fuel in it overnight

Finally got the generator going strong, carburetor was pretty messsed up with gunk.

4 cases of cold beer, cans of ham, veggies, a Daisy BB gun with ammo, batteries for my flashlight and my prayer book.
