it makes sense, over a decade ago the DOD stopped selling brass to manufactures. they decided it was better to shred it and sell it to china for less than they were getting for whole brass. that's after they pay for the shredding.

I remember them selling drums or hoppers of once fired brass in many calibers thru Gov Liquidation 10 years ago, but not any more.

There were several times I bid on the brass, but couldn't match the deep pockets of the commercial reloaders.

On the plus side, M855 is terrible ammo. On the negative any infringement is bad, and lots of guys that do buy M855 will be buying otherwise if this comes through and that will drive up prices.
