need help pricing a pistol for a friend
good friend has a pistol his father left him.
Ive advised him not to sell it, yet he wants a price, It is a smith and Wesson model 36, J frame, very good condition, blued, 2" covered hammer probley early 70s production. Any idea of fair price?

Very good shape with the covered hammer. I'd ask $400 - $475, depending on how "very good shape" it's in. Older Smiths are becoming much more expensive. He really should hold on to it. That's a great carry gun. ...pinned barrel and made before MIM parts and the lock hole abortion thing.
