Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Night vision

Personally I plan on acquiring some of the super expensive night vision equipment as a BFPU from the enemy when TSHTF but until I can I'll need some night vision of my own. What NV stuff gives the best bang for the buck? Monoculars, binoculars, and scopes, what are the best deals on the stuff that isn't the latest and greatest but still decent enough to get the job done?

Greek. I will be looking forward to hearing some input myself..
Guy came by here with a pair of Russian night vision binoculars.. One of those timing things where someone needed cash..
Think? $300 he paid... Oh my God these turned night to day.. Now I do not Know much about them. But these had a lazer? I think that could be turned on..
Think that enhanced the viewing.. He said the problem is someone with their night vision, can see your lazer..
They have come a long way over the years..

From what I'm told you use a monocular

Attached to your weak side on a helmet

And use a laser on your rifle so you can

Aim it. Correct me if I am wrong cause

I am going on what I'm told

Some good NV with IR should suffice. I am getting a flir though as soon as the funds become available. NV is defeated by atmospheric conditions while thermal sees everything all the time.

Its basically a thermal optic. I was messing with one at the last show, it was 9 grand but cool as hell. It mounted in front of a day scope.

If someone has n.v. Or a passive n.v. Scope they will see you IR light. IR is something I would avoid depending on what I was going to use it for.

I believe that was the illuminator on the Russian goggles 4th. That's what was on mine. You used to be able to get a red filter for a maglite that would light up a huge area. That buzzing is the nature of those things being an active not passive system from Russia. If its like the one I had it was made to be worn by tankers. Got it off Tom Bowers site long ago. Nice stuff. Somebody even made an adapter for head use.

This all sounds fine and dandy, but the real killer is the expected enemy, and we all know who I'm referring to, has access to airborne and ground based infrared imagery. In short, they can see you too and unless you can mask your infrared/thermal signature, well, we've all seen enough videos of the end results.

Perhaps a wetsuit is what everyone should be looking into?

You can not see through glass with thermal. You can see through a mirror with thermal.( Not actually 'through', just the reflection.)

I have a PVS-14. It adaptable to wear or mount behind a night vision capable red dot.

Wearing it makes more sense & puting an IR laser on what your shooting. I might of posted a picture or two of it.
