After two trips to the range now I concur. A spongy 12 lb trigger pull does not make for accuracy. I'm looking at a replacement trigger pack from HK with polished & tuned parts which should make for a huge difference according to the reviews I've read.

Yep...the std military parts triggers really suck in those rifles. Get something going to address that...and they become fine and reliable instruments of death. Fit them with an ACOG and LOOK OUT. I have a small red Chinese military 6x scope on mine...real military no commercial junk...it is a tack driver with match ammo.

I realized I have 10 brand new CETME 20 rd magazines...I am now going to have to get a CETME to go with them. They are sweet and have a slight curve to them also. Parkerized steel.

I also have a H&K P9S .45 that has the polygon barrel. It's a very sweet pistol & extremely accurate. That delayed roller lock makes a great pistol action.

Also....did you know...that M1 Garands... all... have a fatal flaw that caused millions of GI's to be killed by Nazi, Japanese and Communist soldiers?

According to the "experts" every time .....in a firefight...the M1 fires it's last round, the enbloc clip ejects with a LOUD PING that the enemy listens for in a firefight...and then attacks, while a fumbling idiot American soldier tries to reload the clumsy M1 rifle........and dies.

All of THIS from "EXPERTS" who have never seen combat or fired an M1 in deadly anger.
