Inside the tent. I like carpet on the floor for when I get up in the morning.

Nice! Those sleeping bagas look kind of heavy for August. Did it get that cool @ night?
My last time tent camping was in Africa. Best tent camp I ever stayed in. We even had snow flurries while there. |

It got cold enough that my grandson needed blankets underneath and on top of his sleeping bag. He had a cheap no-name sleeping bag. I had a Teton -25 F sleeping bag. It's the same one I slept in while camping in the Canadian Rockies and Glacier Park. It was plenty warm. |

Very nice setup. Making memories that your grandson will have for many years to come. He couldn't have a better teacher either, if he listens to you.

When my grandson and I went camping we cooked off the tail gate on a propane stove and a camp fire with a grill over it. Slept outside on a cot and light bag. Coleman lantern was the night light source. Privy was a hole in the sand. We like it like that in moderate climes. Don't like to have too much stuff to drag around.
