PSL safe ammo
Got the PSL out today and decided to cycle a mag through to check bolt hold open. Generic commie copper washed with red sealer arounf case mouth and primer. Came in paper packets with string, no crate. Seller didn’t know anything. Bought eleven years ago. Probably Romanian.
After cycling them through I noticed one with the bullet shoved down into the case. No more of any copper wash or paper packaged ammo for the PSL. I have some Czech silvertip. Has anyone ever heard of such trouble from Czech silvertip? These copper washed ones have almost no crimp so they are Mosin bait now. I have seen an adjustable piston on the gun fags’ channel for the PSL and it’s interesting to know I could launch 203 gr. Barnaul soft points from it and not beat it to death but without five round mags it’s irrelevant. Seven round mag limit here. M1 K31 .

Your PSL should handle just about any com-bloc ammo. Czech "silver tip" is some of my favorite.
