Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Question On line computer parts sales

Besides Newegg and Tigerdirect are there other reliable computer parts sales companies? I cannot remember any others.

I lost my custom built desktop during a lightning storm a few weeks back.

I have considered a laptop which I could purchase locally but that is not what I want.

Been using both Newegg and Tigerdirect for some time. I believe they are the only two with any good deals. Ebay is a great source, too. I used all three on this last build.

Inquiring minds want to know, what are you building???

I put mine together from these guys: http://www.cybertronpc.com/

They had great customer service and a quick turnaround time.

I went with a gaming type computer due to the extra cooling capacity because I don't have air conditioning in my house, and it can get pretty warm at times.

Besides, the blue LED lights behind the clear plexiglass panel look cool.

I am going with a build that will last 5 years or so, I hope. The computer that I lost to lightning I put together in 2012 and was very pleased with it.

Today I ordered an i5-6600 Skylake quadcore 3.3 Ghz 6th generation CPU. An Asus mobo Z270 ATX. The unlocked version of the same CPU wouldn't allow updates from MS for Windows 7, plus I won't need to OC anyhow.

Also Corsair Vengeance 16GB memory and a Western Digital 250GB SSD for the OS and a a few other things. I have several 500GB hard drives to add the other 'stuff' to.

Nothing fancy, I just want at least what I had. I am not a gamer. I just want the best performance that I need for what I am willing to spend.

I ordered the parts from Newegg this afternoon. With their $1.99 shipping it will take a week to arrive. When I was young a week was like a lifetime.

I am still using my 10" Asus notebook to compute. Kay fusses at me to use her laptop. I can't bring myself to do it with my luck. I no touchie.

Sounds like a pretty solid rig. I had to look up the I5, because I'm not that familiar with Intel processors, because I started using AMD's offerings. Looks like some pretty good specs.

No, DON'T use Kay's laptop... ITS A TRAP!
I leave Princess's alone, too, unless there's a major problem.
