Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default 870 "locks"

So I have very well used Rem 870 and it has gotten so bad that if I shoot anything more than a heavy field load it kicks the bolt open.

3" mags eject themselves.

A lot of people say this is common but it never did it when it was new.

What do I need to change to fix this or should I just get a new one.

In the guns defense I have beat the shit out of it bad with magnum loads.

Thanks.

Reads like one I had to have repaired.
Dosconnected the slide arms from the bolt.

Yes, that was from shooting those 3" mags.

The guy that fixed it told me that I was going to ruin the 'lock-up' if I kept at it.

It cost me a 5# jug of fresh, mild, honey.
Well over $50.00 worth, at the time.

I should look into parts to do it myself but I never have the time.

Guess I will check with the local Smith unless anyone knows how to do the repair.

Check the locking recess in the barrel and the locking piece on the bolt. They are an easy fix. My son shoots skeet and trap with his school team and uses a 870. I check them really good every 1000 or so rounds to ensure good lock up and that they have no burrs on them.
