10 Hardy Perennial Plants You Can Eat
Off The Grid - Articles abound as to what to plant in your garden each year to get the best harvest. Did you know that you can create a permanent garden of sorts on your land that will come back from year to year with little effort? All the better if you live in a climate that tends to be colder or shorter seasoned than most climates. http://www.offthegridnews.com/2013/1...s-you-can-eat/ |

who would have thought!
http://www.grandpappy.info/rkudzu.htm The three parts of the kudzu plant that are edible are the: Young leaves and vine tips, Flower blossoms, and Roots. Look for a kudzu plant that is NOT near a highway where it will be contaminated by dust and automobile exhaust fumes. Also avoid kudzu that has been sprayed with deadly chemicals to control the growth of the invasive plant.

Interesting article, thank you..
Kudzu.. Oh my God we will never run out of vegetables down here in Florida. Interesting one can eat it.. Normally we burn it, poison it, curse it, put in a neighbors yard we do not like.. I have a natural vegetable garden withing walking distance.. All kinds of stuff here in the swampy areas. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/mv038 Swamp Cabbage.. Oh God these old Florida Crackers cook it up great.. Sold in cans in some stores, expensive.. Not like a normal cabbage taste, just good eatin..
