Review: Ka-Bar TDI
I've been searching for a good EDC defensive knife. I prefer a fixed blade to a folder. I bought the SOG Instinct Mini. Its a good knife, but a tad too small to get a good grip on. And the sheath is less than stellar, a thin metal clip that attaches to your belt that pivots and shifts with normal movement. So I looked around and tried the Gerber Ghoststrike. I like it but the belt has to feed though the sheath, no quick on/off. I had some spare money on my last paycheck, and after a bit more research, I bought the Ka-Bar TDI. About $55 on their website, but $35 on Amazon. "But Snake, Amazon is run by liberals!" I know, but $20 is $20. Anyway, I'm am very impressed with this knife. It sits in my hand like it belongs there. The sheath is solid and sturdy. It was pretty sharp right out of the box. I'm not sure what kind of steel it is, but as a defensive knife, it doesn't really matter to me. I won't be using this knife to open boxes, cut twine, etc. I carry a pocket knife for that. If I use this knife for its intended purpose, maintaining the edge won't be the first thing on my mind. So, if you're looking for an EDC fixed blade, I suggest you consider the Ka-Bar TDI.

Looks nice Snake a bit different with that curve to it. With a good edge should be good skinning deer and other critters? Let us know how yah like it?

The only skinning that I would possibly do with this knife would require me to contact an attorney. An attorney or a pig farmer.
