Where do they go to?
A surprising number of people come to this forum, post for a while ~ sometimes a year or two ~ then stop posting.

Perhaps they don't even lurk any more.

Did they drop off the edge of the world? Are they bored? Have they found other more interesting (Shock! Horror!! Gasp!!!) forums? Have they lost the will to fight? Did they surrender their souls to the dark side?
