I have always had a soft spot for the L1A1 rifle. Had one brand new in its box, straight from Lithgow SAF back in the early 80's. Never had a M14 but there were plenty of M1A Springfields getting around in the pre ban days. I would love to have a couple of either now a days if it were legal to do so.
