The rear sight aperture drum is FRAGILE...it will not withstand the knocking around the battle sight will. I always kept a rear sight protector over mine....AFTER...taking the line at the 600 yd slow fire segment of a NM course at Camp Perry...Firing two shots...and the drum fell off and left me with a 1/8" hole ...to sight through. I could see 4-5 targets at one time. You just can't bang those around.
