Interesting concept, to say the least.
It just unfolds, then you hook up a couple frame components and add on the vestibule (if you want the extra space - which I put a propane heater in that radiates heat up into the tent to keep warm).

It stays bolted onto the roof rack. I leave my pillows and sleeping bags inside when I fold it up. It all tucks into a thick rubber cover.
