I have a GSG MP5 also. From what I read about them they are fine until you take them apart. Mine has not been shoot in a very long time, but function very well while I played with it.

I've yet to shoot many of mine, waiting for summer or at least tolerable weather. Don't have the MP40. The STG-44 shoots great. Looking forward to trying the MP5 and Uzi 22 caliber clones.
