Not me selling them or anyone I know...just ordered six of them for myself.

I’m copping some of those.

Hmmm...more have been relisted. Hell of a price for NOS DOD 1911 mags.
|
Five coming my way.
Thanks for the tip, Mr. Dow. |
I got my order in.
I hope they are legit - a while back, there were a bunch of "NOS" M14 mags "in the wrapper" being imported from China that were of pretty poor quality. Even if they are fakes, the price is right as long as they work - and I've ran some pretty sketchy (Triple K) 1911 mags with no problems. |
Not that many years ago at the DCM store near Camp Perry you could buy NOS M-14 mags in DOD foil wraps for $5.00 apiece. Broken shell extractors for $2.00...I loaded up on those. I should have REALLY loaded up.
|
Received my 1911 mag order today. They are just as advertised. I should order more of them ....for a rainy day.
|
Got mine today, too. Looks like a 1911 magazine. Nothing special about it. Rollmarks on the baseplate are pretty weak - like it was almost missed by the tooling. :dunno:
Interesting that the packaging is dated 2016. They did ship quickly, that's for sure. |
All of mine are dated 2017.... So some contractor is cranking these out...and now they are being sold off as surplus? Seems odd.
|
It was my mistake for not reading everything on the sale page. Every time I've bought surplus 1911 mags, there were 2 in a package. So, I figured I was getting 2 instead of 1 for $15. But, if you factor in shipping, then it really isn't a bad deal.
Except I can get Chip McKormick 8-round Shooting Star mags for about the same price. I've never had any problems with them. Who is manufacturing these? I have no idea. |
i ordered 5
Although something seems off on the spacing of the loaded round count indicators in the auction photo....the holes appear to have been made too high......i will see when i get them. |
Might be good magazine, but not military. New military issue would have a NSN identification number on it.
|
Tried mine out earlier today. They functioned in the Remington 1911A1 and the SA 1911A1 perfectly. I was firing 230gr hardball. I have a Colt 1911A1 and an Rock Island & an Argentine model 1927 that I will try them in...when the weather is not to funky. I don't have nearly the 1911's I used to have.... :(
They work in all of them ...I am good. |
The same vendor is selling them for $12.50 now. I ordered and received a dozen more at that price.

Tripp cobra for me. Exclusively
