500-pound goliath grouper eats shark as shocked Florida fishermen watch: 'He just sucked it in'
There's a reason goliath groupers are called the garbage disposals of the sea — they eat everything in sight, including sharks apparently.
A group of fishermen were able to witness a 500-pound grouper's "rare" meal during a fishing trip off the coast of Everglades City, Florida, last week. Suddenly, an open-mouthed giant goliath grouper swam up and gulped the 3-foot-long shark down. http://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/201...ked-it-in.html I have reeled in like a 15 lb. Grouper from 200 feet of water off shore down here and it was like pulling in a bulldozer. This guy was around 500 lbs. They run up to 800 lbs. I would bet their is not a hand held rod and reel that could pull one that big in? |
4th, when fishing for these Groupers,
what is the preferred bait...niqqers or beaners?... |
Niqqers for chump, cause they cant swim
Beaner wetbacks can swim so ya have to kill them first before you bait them on hook |

I wonder how many meals a 500 pound grouper would give you? :yum:

Amazing fish! Perhaps the greatest charge I get from fishing is the moment I'm reeling in a really big one and see a flash of yellow or silver and am trying to figure out what I just hooked... Carp? Catfish? Bass? Pike? Trout?

I've caught grouper in the Gulf before, but nothing like that monster. Damn he ate that shark like it was a piece of popcorn.
