I had no idea of it's size and scope.
The greatest battleship of it's day.
Especially with Nelson commanding.

That was a captivating video.
Thank you Mr. Dow !!!

Yes I watched that on the Smithsonian channel absolutely incredible ship. :thumbsup:
They then did a sniper reenactment that took Admiral Nelson out. Sniper in the crows nest got off a hell of a shot that went through Nelsons chest and damaged his spine.
Hell of a man he stood right on the deck with lead flying everywhere. :cheers:

Exceptional video of a great story that allows this Englishman to bask in a little bit of
historical glory for a few minutes.

Thank you, Mr. Dow.

And to think Napoleon wanted to join the Royal Navy growing up.

Good vid.

Seeing HMS Victory would make a trip to Portsmouth worthwhile.

The documentary I watched took one through the entire ship. Officers quarters were nice and nicer as they went up the ranks. Crews cabins? Not so nice. They slept next to the guns either on the floor or if they were lucky on a hammock.

The only time I set foot on her was probably when I was eleven years old - maybe younger;
went with a bunch of other kids on an outing. Can't remember much about it now, and it would
be pointless now as I'd prolly forget it all over again by next year.

And IT is not even worth a second look, as a "woman."
